20 Bible Verses For When You Need Peace

This week I've felt hungry for peace. Just fighting for it. Knowing full-well where to get it. Just sinking back into being a hermit and trying to get along by myself. Knowing that Jesus wants me to draw closer to Him so He can give me His peace.

Why do I fight it? Why do I try to carry my own burdens? "Girl, lay them at the feet of Jesus", I tell myself over and over.

All too often I repeat this prayer...

"Jesus, this is too heavy. I need you to take this burden off of me. I need you to be my peace and strength because I don't have anymore."

In these moments, and every day, here are the verses I cling to:

Micah 5:4-5
And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. And he shall be their peace.
