Why Miscarriage Care Packages?

Every item in these care packages has been intentionally chosen to bring hope, comfort, and encouragement to a grieving heart. On October 1st, 2016, I experienced a miscarriage. We named our baby Avery. Out of that season of loneliness and sorrow, I felt called to help other grieving women feel seen, loved, and cared for as they ache to hold their babies in Heaven.

On what would have been Avery’s due date, I launched a blog here at DueToJoy.com. Over the years, I’ve been honored to hear your stories and witness God’s faithfulness in bringing healing to broken hearts. Truly, the only way I’ve been able to walk through my own loss and walk through loss with many others is by leaning on the God of all comfort, who gave me this promise:

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”

Who Are the Care Packages For?

These care packages are designed to encourage and comfort anyone who has endured loss:

  • A mama whose grief is recent—or years past—and you want her to know her baby is not forgotten.

  • A friend on a tender milestone date, like a due date or loss anniversary.

  • Yourself, as you search for meaningful ways to process your own grief.

If you have experienced loss, my heart aches with you. Friend, you are not alone. God hears your cries. He weeps with you, and He will never leave you. I pray these care packages remind you of His comfort and love.

If you are here to support a grieving friend, thank you. Your willingness to enter into pain with love, prayer, and presence is a gift that can change lives.

As I sent care packages to one grieving friend after another, I began to see a real need. Friends and family of loss mamas genuinely want to help—they long to show their love and offer comfort—but often don’t know how. Many stay silent, afraid of saying the wrong thing. Others hesitate, worried that a gift honoring the baby might stir up even more pain. Too often, fear or uncertainty keeps them from offering the support they wish they could give. That’s when I knew there needed to be a way to help bridge that gap. And that’s what led to the care package portion of this ministry.

My hope is that these gifts make it easier to show love in a meaningful and tangible way—reminding grieving mamas they are seen, remembered, and not walking this road alone.

beauty from ashes journal

Beauty From Ashes Journal

Journaling became one of the most healing ways I processed my grief—and even now, it continues to bring me comfort. There’s something powerful about putting on paper the things I can’t always say out loud: prayers, raw questions, confusion, letters to my little one, or even letters to my future self. Over time, these pages have become a collection of reminders of God’s faithfulness—proof of how He has carried me, even through seasons I thought I wouldn’t survive.

The Beauty From Ashes Journal was created with this same purpose in mind—to walk with you through grief. With generous space for your thoughts and reflections, it’s a safe place to pour out your heart. The soft faux leather cover with rounded corners offers a gentle, elegant touch, while the elastic band, ribbon bookmark, and accordion pocket add practicality and organization.

As you write, my prayer is that this journal becomes more than just pages—it becomes a companion. A place to process, to remember, and even to discover moments of beauty in the midst of ashes.

“No Tears In Heaven” Watercolor Hymn

This hymn is about our heavenly hope based on Revelation 21:4-5.

Revelation 21:4-5 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also, He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

This Watercolor Floral print of the hymn "No Tears In Heaven" is a touching tribute to those who have experienced loss. The soft watercolor flowers serve as a gentle reminder of the hope found in the words of the song, offering comfort and solace to those who are grieving. The meaningful lyrics of this hymn, taken from the book of Revelation, assure us that one day all sorrow will be erased and that we will be reunited with our loved ones in a place where there will be no more tears.
